As King Charles III during his visit to Australia has entered the debate I would like to make several other points.
For the last 3 years I have been asking every new person I have me what does she or he think in the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere. Nearly everyone has said they don’t know and when I say guess answer between 5 to 10%. They do not walk alone:

For the first time in my inquiries someone gave a much more reasonable answer. It was the nurse assisting the anaesthetist before my recent shoulder operation. She started by saying I remember that nitrogen is 80%, Oxygen is 19% so it must be less than 1%, say it is 0.5%.
The actual number is 0.04% and she is the first person to get near the answer. Several people did know the correct answer and all them were sceptics.
According to geologists the highest levels of CO2 were 0.7% some 550 million years ago. Since then it has declined to 0.04% which is getting very close to 0.02% when all plant lige will die.
Australian vegetation adsorbs 940 million tonnes of CO2 per year and has total emissions at 417 million tonnes (which includes all fossil fuel exports). Australia is way past net Zero.
Overseas 418 nuclear reactors with a 80 year lifespan are operating in 32 countries. A further 52 are under construction and 102 are planned.
Finally the graph at the beginning of this blog is the temperature levels for the last 8 climate cycles. We are currently at the top of the latest cycle. If I was a betting man my money would be of world getting colder rather than warmer.
